My late husband, Alan, was very proud of his Native American ancestry and he had learned a lot about the history of his forefathers. Like his ancestors before him he loved working with beads and together we created many different types of jewellery, belts, bags etc. and he designed and made some beautiful silverwork. In 1996 we decided to sell some of the jewellery that we had made and so ‘Wampumcraft’ was born.
My son Brendan and I have decided to carry on his work, and have now blended the old traditional beadwork with modern fashion. |
